The Best Places to Dine in Beijing
Chao Yang Park is now becoming one of the coolest places to hang out
and enjoy a meal with a few drinks. The Big Easy Restaurant specialises
in Cajun food with great blues music. The building it is house in looks
like it is straight out of New Orleans. The Gold Cat Dumpling which is
a quaint courtyard restaurant located near to Tuan Jie Hu Park, and has
some local dishes, like the Beijing jiaozi which is very popular with
the locals and it is a dish similar to large ravioli.
Around Xi Dan and Xuan Wu areas, call into one of the famous branches
of the Quan Ju De Roast Duck Restaurants. The Beijing duck is truly delicious.
The main flagship branch is located on Qian Men Avenue and is worth a
visit.
The student area around Hai Dian has cheaper prices and serves some of
the best Chinese food in the entire city. The area known as Wu Dao Kou
is known as Korea Town and houses many small authentic Korean restaurants
that look after the huge amount of Korean students that are located here
in the city.
