More Districts of Beijing
San Li Tun has lots of bars and great pubs to explore. One can sip a
cool beer and watch all the crowds going about their daily chores. Its
great to sit and do some people watching. Lots of shops here have great
handcrafted Tibetan goods as well as great cotton clothes with great dragons
and colourful patterns.
Another great place for bargains is the San Li Tun Market. Here one can
actually buy some great quality products ranging from designer goods to
quality clothes at very good prices. There is
a great buzz around here at night, and one can head down to the Havana
Cafe, the Den, or the trendy Vogue Club to enjoy the great nightlife.
Chao Yang Park is also a great park that attracts loads of locals to relax
here and chill out. Its also a great spot for some intensive people watching.
New bars and restaurants have located here recently. Bellas shop sells
freshly baked bread that is very tasty. The Big Easy cafe has some great
Cajun cooking and blues music playing in the background.
South of the city is the Chong Wen District, which is a great commercial
area, where one could buy anything from designer watches to sports goods.
The Qian Men Shopping Area has some of Beijing oldest stores. The Temple
of heaven is located here and the Hong Qiao Market, which is a treasure
trove of exotic products to rummage through.
The Dong Cheng District holds the famous Forbidden city as well as Tiananmen
Square, and the Maos Mausoleum, which makes this area the main tourist
area of the city. Lots of hotels are located in this district. There is
also a great shopping area called Wang Fu Jing Shopping District.
